Plan it out

Get a plan built for your search, in 30 seconds.

Tell us your field, seniority, and where you'd take a job. We'll show the plan a Marqee strategist would recommend, a realistic first-interview window, and what the whole run through offer usually costs.

Estimator · benchmarks from real Marqee searches

Two answers unlock the estimate — your role and your seniority. Add geography and urgency for a sharper read. Every number below updates as you go, and each one is a range: your search will have its own personality, and honest ranges are the closest we can get without meeting you.

The inputs

Four questions. Two required.

Rough is fine — your strategist will refine target job families and titles with you on the intake call.

Level required

Seniority drives the length of the process more than anything else. Higher-level searches are longer, quieter, and referral-heavy.

Marqee launched US-only. We can run outside the US, but timelines and role density vary — we're honest about that.

Urgency

Tighter deadlines compress the plan and typically warrant the Executive tier, where volume and interview prep run in parallel.

The value strip

Under $99/week buys you what?

You spend that on lunches most weeks. Here's what the same money buys when it goes into a real Marqee search.

Basic · $29/wk

A weekly nudge from a real strategist.

Up to twenty tailored, ATS-ready applications a week, submitted on your behalf on the official company site. A career-strategy and LinkedIn audit. A tracker, daily updates, and a strategist to message inside the dashboard. It costs less than most streaming stacks — and someone is actively working on your career every week.

Pro · $49/wk

The side door, opened.

Everything in Basic plus up to fifty applications a week, a custom cover letter for each one, and — this is the difference-maker — recruiter outreach and referral discovery. Most interviews come through people, not portals. Pro is the plan built to work both channels at the same time.

Executive · $99/wk

An all-out, prep-in-parallel push.

Everything in Pro plus up to one hundred applications a week, interview prep and coaching, phone support, and priority turnaround. Executive is what we recommend when the deadline is real and the level is high — the reach is deepest and there's a coach ready the day the first calls land.

How the estimator thinks.

Level does most of the work

Early-career searches move quickly because there's role density and less to negotiate. Senior and staff searches take longer because the bar is a story, not a checklist. Executive searches are almost entirely relationship-driven, so the process is longer, quieter, and often more rewarding.

Urgency changes the shape

"Exploring" spreads the plan out — you can afford to be selective. "Actively searching" is the baseline: steady volume with focused targeting. "Need offers within 90 days" compresses everything and usually warrants Executive so volume, outreach, and interview prep run in parallel.

Geography adds a small tail

Remote-US, the Bay Area, and NYC have the deepest role density — they add nothing to the timeline. Other US metros add about a week. Outside the US adds roughly two weeks and a few extra conversations about work authorization, timezone overlap, and pay conventions.

The ranges are wide on purpose

We show a low and a high because a single number would lie. Some searches close early with a warm referral. Others need three interview loops before a good match. The band lets you plan around both — and updates every time you change an input above.

Reading the estimate

What the numbers mean.

Estimates are a starting conversation, not a contract. Here's how a Marqee strategist reads yours on the intake call.

First response is inbound signal

It's the week you'll typically hear from a recruiter about a submitted application or a piece of outreach. It's not an offer or an interview yet — it's proof the plan is landing. If it doesn't hit inside the range, we adjust: retarget, re-tailor, rework the story.

First interview is momentum

It's the week you'll usually be on a real screen with a hiring team. From there, most searches finish inside four to eight more weeks depending on level and how many concurrent processes you're running. The estimator uses that pattern to project total weeks to offer.

Total cost = plan × weeks to offer

We take the recommended plan's weekly rate, multiply by the projected weeks to offer, and show a low-high band. If a Sprint or pay-as-you-go pattern would be cheaper for your search, your strategist will tell you on the call — it's not always the weekly plan.

You can change the plan

The recommendation is a starting point. Some people prefer Basic even when Pro is the match — they want the momentum without the higher weekly. Others upgrade to Executive to pull the timeline in. The dashboard lets you move up or down any week without penalty.

Under the hood

Where the benchmark numbers come from.

A short note on how we built the estimator so the ranges you see aren't guesswork.

Baselines are the Pro plan at mid-level

The starting point is a mid-level, active search, run on Pro, based in a top US metro or remote. We baseline first response at two weeks and first interview at four weeks. Everything else is a multiplier on top: level scales the process, urgency scales cadence, geography adds a small tail. It's the simplest honest model we could ship.

Weeks to offer is a loop assumption

After the first interview lands, most searches run four to eight more weeks of loops before an offer, and higher levels sit at the top of that band. We add that loop tail to the first-interview projection to arrive at total weeks. If your strategist sees a shorter path — a referral that fast-tracks a loop, say — the plan is adjusted, and the total drops with it.

The ±20% band absorbs real variance

The point estimate is one number. We publish a range of that number plus and minus twenty percent because search variance is real: some weeks are quiet, some are avalanches, and a single warm intro can compress two weeks into one. The band is meant to hold the truth of a typical run, not the shape of a lucky one.

The recommendation isn't a hard sell

If the estimator picks Executive but you'd rather try Pro for a month, that's a good instinct — many searches don't need Executive, and a strategist will tell you the day the math changes. The dashboard makes it a one-click move. The pricing page has all three plans, Sprints, and pay-as-you-go side by side, plus a clear refund policy underneath.
