Managed job search.

We run your whole search — discovery, tailoring, submissions, and tracking — so you focus on interviews.

The Short Version. A managed job search means a real career expert runs your search end to end — they find the right roles, tailor your resume and cover letter for each one, do recruiter outreach and referral discovery, and submit applications on your behalf. AI works quietly in the background to help them move faster, but a human makes every call. You stop applying and start interviewing. Plans are billed weekly: Basic $29, Pro $49, Executive $99.

Searching for a job is a second full-time job, and it's the one nobody trained you for. You scroll listings at midnight, rewrite the same resume for the fortieth time, fire applications into a void, and hear nothing. The problem usually isn't you. It's that one person, applying alone, can't out-volume and out-tailor a market designed to bury good candidates in a pile. A managed job search flips that. We put a real expert on your side whose entire week is spent getting you in front of the people who hire — so you become a marquee candidate: the one who gets seen, gets shortlisted, and gets top billing.

What a managed job search actually is

Most "job-search help" stops at the prep. A resume writer hands you a polished document and wishes you luck. A coach gives you advice and homework. A job board hands you a firehose of listings and leaves the work to you. The newer auto-apply tools just hand you a faster form-filler — more submissions, same lonely grind. Marqee is different in one decisive way: we do the search, not just the preparation. Instead of one more tool to run, you get a person who runs the whole search. Your dedicated strategist owns the loop, finding roles, positioning you for each one, opening doors through people, and submitting applications under your name, while you spend your energy on the only part that actually converts: the interviews.

This is our flagship service and the reason Marqee exists. We're a premium Career Concierge, not a tool you operate. You're not buying software and a to-do list. You're handing your search to a person who treats your next role as their job to deliver.

People first. Process second. Technology in the engine room.

Here is the hierarchy we run on, in order: people, then process, then technology. A real human strategist leads your search and makes every judgment call that matters: which roles genuinely fit, how to frame a career pivot, when to push outreach harder, which offer is worth chasing. Behind them sits a deliberate, repeatable process. And quietly underneath all of it, AI does the heavy, repetitive lifting: surfacing matching openings, drafting first-pass tailoring, organizing recruiter contacts. The machine helps your strategist move fast and miss nothing. It never decides anything about your career. You'll always know there's a person on the other end — because there is.

Exactly how we run your search, step by step

No black box. Here's the loop your strategist runs every week, in order.

  1. 1. Strategy intake. We start with a real conversation, not a form. Your strategist learns your target titles, must-have and dealbreaker criteria, salary floor, locations and remote preferences, companies to chase, and companies to avoid. The output is a written search brief you both sign off on — your guardrails for everything that follows.
  2. 2. Positioning & materials. We build a core resume and profile that frame you for the roles you actually want, then tailor a version per application — matching the language of each posting, leading with the accomplishments that matter for that specific role. Pro and Executive plans add a cover letter tailored to each role.
  3. 3. Role discovery. Your strategist hunts for openings that fit your brief — including roles that never hit the big boards. AI surfaces matches across the market; your strategist filters out the noise and the bad fits so you only spend your name on roles worth winning.
  4. 4. Recruiter outreach & referral discovery. Most jobs are won through people, not portals, and most candidates only ever apply, so we also go through the side door. We identify the recruiters and hiring managers behind your target roles, find warm paths and referral routes into those companies, and reach out on your behalf to get your application looked at by a human instead of lost in a queue. A real person works those channels — the ones automated apply-bots simply can't reach, and that recruiters spot and reject on sight. (Pro and Executive.)
  5. 5. Submission on your behalf. Within your approved guardrails, your strategist submits tailored applications under your name — up to 20 a week on Basic, 50 on Pro, and 100 on Executive. Every one is tailored, never copy-pasted, and every one is logged.
  6. 6. Tracking & weekly adjustment. Your dashboard shows every role, where it stands, and what's converting. Each week your strategist reads the callback data and adjusts — sharpening positioning, shifting targets, doubling down on what's landing interviews.
  7. 7. Interview prep & the finish line. When interviews come in, we get you ready — common questions, role-specific prep, and Executive coaching for the high-stakes conversations. We're with you through to the offer.

Why this is what makes you a marquee candidate

Standing out isn't about applying to more jobs. It's about three things working at once: volume done right (more tailored, on-target applications than you could realistically send alone), access (a human reaching the hiring manager and finding your referral, instead of a form swallowing you), and positioning (materials that say the right thing for each specific role). Doing one of those well is hard. Doing all three, every week, while holding down your current life, is close to impossible solo. That's the gap a managed search is built to close — to get you out of the applicant pile and into the lights.

Built by people who've sat on both sides of the table

Marqee's strategists are real career experts — former recruiters, hiring managers, and talent leads who have screened the piles, run the interviews, and made the offers. They know what gets a resume pulled and what gets it skipped, because they've done the pulling and the skipping. That first-hand experience is the difference between advice and a real plan, and it's the reason a real human, not an algorithm, leads every search we run.

Who it's best for

  • Working professionals who don't have 12 hours a week to run a proper search and want the edge of an expert doing it for them.
  • New grads who need a credible foot in the door and don't yet know the unwritten rules of getting seen.
  • Career changers who need their story reframed so a pivot reads as a strength, not a risk.
  • Executives who want a discreet, strategically managed search and high-stakes interview coaching.

Frequently asked questions

A real career expert runs your search for you: they find roles, tailor your resume and cover letter per role, do recruiter outreach and referral discovery, and submit applications on your behalf — so you spend your time interviewing, not searching.

A dedicated human strategist owns your search and makes every judgment call. AI works quietly in the engine room to help them move faster, but a person decides which roles fit, how to position you, and what to send.

You set the targets — titles, locations, salary floor, and any companies to avoid — and approve your materials up front. Within those guardrails your strategist submits on your behalf, and every application is logged in your dashboard.

It depends on your plan: Basic covers up to 20 tailored applications a week, Pro up to 50, and Executive up to 100. Every application is tailored to the role, not blasted out as a copy-paste.

Marqee is billed weekly: Basic is $29, Pro is $49, and Executive is $99 per week. You can cancel anytime, and there's no long-term contract.

A resume writer hands you a document; a job board hands you listings. Marqee runs the whole search end to end — discovery, tailoring, outreach, submissions, and tracking — so the work happens for you, not just the prep.

Your first tailored applications go out within the first week of onboarding. Interview timing varies by field, seniority, and market — we can't guarantee a date — and your strategist adjusts the strategy from your real callback data as it comes in.

Absolutely. Many members keep a few applications of their own going. Your dashboard tracks everything in one place so nothing gets duplicated and you always know the status of every role.
