Getting started

6

What Marqee is, who it's for, and how to try it before you commit.

Marqee is a premium, human-led career concierge. A dedicated strategist runs your job search for you — finding fitting roles, tailoring materials per application, running recruiter outreach and referral discovery, and submitting applications on your behalf. Weekly plans start at $29/week and one-time Sprints start at $149.

There's also Backstage, a free self-serve layer of career tools you can use without paying anything.

Anyone tired of running the search alone. New grads who need momentum, working professionals who don't have evenings, executives who want a decisive push, career changers who need a credible new story, and visa or underrepresented talent who benefit from a strategist in their corner. If you're already thrilled applying by yourself, you probably don't need us yet.

You complete a short intake covering target roles, geography, must-haves, and deal-breakers. We match you to a strategist, they review your résumé and LinkedIn, and you get a short kickoff message.

Work begins within 24 hours — we notify you right before your strategist starts, so you always know when the clock begins. By hour 48, first applications and outreach are in motion.

Pick a plan or a Sprint on the pricing page and sign up. If you'd rather test-drive first, there's a free 48-hour Pro trial: up to three expert-submitted applications, run by a real person, no card required. If you want to poke around before committing at all, Backstage is free.

Yes. A free 48-hour Pro trial with up to three expert-submitted applications, no card required. It's the no-risk way to see how a real strategist handles your search before you commit.

No. Upload whatever you have — an old résumé, a LinkedIn export, even a rough outline — and your strategist will work with you to sharpen it. If you want a full professional rewrite, the Expert Résumé Writing add-on ($99) puts a writer on it from scratch.

02

How Marqee works

10

The mechanics — what your strategist actually does, and what you approve.

They identify the right roles for you, tailor your résumé (and on Pro/Executive, a cover letter) per application, submit those applications on official company sites, run recruiter outreach on the jobs you're targeting, and hunt for warm referral paths inside those companies.

They keep your tracker current, share daily updates, and stay reachable in chat so you can react quickly when interviews start coming.

A career coach mostly advises — you leave the session with homework and then you do the search. A Marqee strategist does the search. Coaching is part of the Executive plan and available as an add-on, but the core service is done-for-you work: applications, outreach, referrals, and tailored materials, week after week.

A résumé writer hands you a document. Marqee runs the search that puts a document in front of the right people. If you only need a résumé rewrite, we offer that as a $99 add-on. If you want that résumé actually put to work on real applications week after week, that's a plan or Sprint.

No. A real person submits every application on official company sites — never duplicates, never blasted through a bot. Technology helps your strategist move faster, but the judgment, the tailoring, and the click-submit are human.

By target roles, industry, seniority, geography, and stage of search. Strategists specialize — some run early-career and campus-adjacent searches, some work executives, some are deep in tech, healthcare, finance, non-profit, or creative. Matching is done by a human on our team, not a lookup table.

Yes. If the chemistry isn't right, email hello@marqee.com and we'll rematch you — no drama, no penalty. This is your search; you deserve someone who feels like an ally.

You set the ground rules up front — target roles, companies you love, companies you refuse to work at, salary floor, geography, and tone. Within that fence your strategist moves quickly on your behalf. Anything sensitive — a stretch role, a role that violates a stated deal-breaker, a bespoke cover letter — gets a check-in first.

You win. It's your career. Your strategist may push back on strategy — that's what a good partner does — but final call on any specific role is always yours. If you tell them not to apply somewhere, they don't.

Your strategist sources roles that match your target list, then ranks them for fit against your background, seniority, geography, comp, and stated musts. Higher-fit roles get more tailoring effort; lower-fit but reasonable ones still get a well-crafted application if you want the coverage.

Yes. Drop any URL into the tracker and your strategist will handle it in the queue like anything they sourced. You bring the lead, we do the tailored application and outreach.

Plans, Sprints, add-ons, and what actually shows up on your statement.

Yes. Pause your weekly plan from the dashboard for up to 4 weeks at a time — useful if you're on vacation, in a hiring pipeline that needs your full attention, or just catching your breath. Your strategist stays reserved for you when you're ready to restart.

Cancel a weekly plan in your dashboard, any time. Your plan runs through the week you've paid for, then stops. No fees, no notice period, no lock-in, no phone calls. Sprints and pay-as-you-go are one-time, so there's nothing to cancel — before work begins you can get a full refund.

Basic ($29/wk) for early-career momentum with up to 20 real applications a week. Pro ($49/wk) for an active search with up to 50 applications, custom cover letters, recruiter outreach, and referral discovery. Executive ($99/wk) for an all-out push with up to 100 applications, interview prep and coaching, phone support, and priority turnaround. Not sure? Start with the free 48-hour Pro trial.

Weekly plans bill weekly on your signup anniversary date. Sprints and pay-as-you-go are one-time charges at checkout. All prices are in USD.

Yes. Major credit and debit cards work worldwide, and we support Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your bank may show a small foreign-transaction fee if you're outside the US; that's your bank, not us.

No. The price on the pricing page is the price you pay. No setup fee, no onboarding fee, no cancellation fee, no per-interview fee, no placement fee. Add-ons and Sprints are one-time and clearly priced.

Pay-as-you-go is the standard rate: $1.49 per application, with a minimum order of 50 applications (about $75) and no setup fee. It's the simplest way in when you're not ready to commit. Sprints and weekly plans are prepaid volume discounts off this standard rate — the more you commit, the lower the per-application price.

Your data & privacy

4

What we hold, why we hold it, and what we never do with it.

Only what's needed to run your search: contact info, work history, target roles, materials you upload, and a record of applications and outreach we've done on your behalf. We keep it while your account is active and for a limited retention window afterward for legal and dispute reasons.

Full details are on the privacy page, and the DPA page covers business-to-business processing.

No. Never. Your data is used to run your search and improve your experience. We don't sell member data to recruiters, data brokers, marketers, or anyone else. If we ever changed that, we'd tell you first and give you a way out.

Yes. Delete your account from the dashboard, or email hello@marqee.com. We remove personal data on request within the timelines described on the privacy page. Some records (billing, dispute history) are retained for legal reasons as narrowly as possible.

On secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is role-based and limited to the people who need it to run your search. Security details, subprocessors, and our data-processing addendum live on the security and DPA pages.

05

Members & community

7

Everyday member life — visibility, discretion, and what happens when you win.

Not unless you tell them. Applications go out under your name from your materials — there's no Marqee watermark on your résumé, no branded footer on the cover letter, no telltale header on outreach. Some members love the credibility signal and mention it; that's a personal choice.

Not from us. Your strategist won't contact anyone at your current company without your explicit go-ahead, and we don't advertise member searches externally. LinkedIn's open to work toggle is entirely your call — many discreet searches leave it off.

Yes, and most members are. Applications go out on official sites, and outreach can be tuned for discretion. Your strategist will not contact your current employer or people at your current company without your explicit go-ahead.

Whatever fits the targets you set — full-time, part-time, contract, remote, hybrid, on-site — across most industries and functions. Your strategist won't apply to roles that violate your stated deal-breakers (compensation floor, location, industry, company blocklist).

Not today — the dashboard is single-member by design. You're welcome to share screenshots or export the tracker; many members loop in a partner or mentor that way. A shared-view feature is on the roadmap.

There's a light, moderated community space for members who want it — search-in-progress support, negotiation tips, and offer celebrations. Participation is entirely optional; plenty of members prefer to keep their search 1:1 with their strategist.

Only with explicit permission. We won't feature you, your logo, or your story anywhere without a written yes. Case studies and reviews on the site come from members who chose to share.

For recruiters & partners

3

How employers, recruiters, and partners work with Marqee — and where the lines are.

Recruiters can partner with Marqee to receive pre-vetted candidates from members who opt in — see the For Recruiters page. Members are never handed over without their yes, and no recruiter pays to "skip the line" or influence which candidates you see.

We run five partner tracks — affiliate, ambassador, influencer, creator, and reseller — with a 30-day payout window and clear commission on referred members. Full details, terms, and how to apply live on the partner-program page.

Yes. We work with career writers, recruiters, and hiring-manager voices on the Marqee blog and guides. Pitches and applications go through the Write for Marqee page — clear ideas, real experience, no thinly-rewritten filler.

07

Refunds & guarantees

7

What we promise, what we don't, and how refunds actually work.

Work begins within 24 hours, and we notify you right before your strategist starts. You can get a full refund any time before work begins. On weekly plans, cancel to stop future weeks; the current week is non-refundable once work has begun.

On Sprints and pay-as-you-go, once work begins your refund equals the amount paid minus applications already delivered at the $1.49 standard rate. If Marqee fails to start on time or staff your search, you get a full refund. You acknowledge this policy at checkout.

No — and you should be skeptical of anyone who does. Hiring decisions belong to employers, not us. We guarantee the work: real applications, real outreach, real referrals, real tailoring, on time, done by a real person.

We don't guarantee interviews or job offers — those are decisions hiring managers make, not us. What we guarantee is the work: a real person tailoring materials, running outreach, chasing referrals, and submitting strong role-matched applications every week.

If a search stalls, your strategist will regroup with you on positioning, targets, and story — that's often where momentum comes from.

An interview you're proud of. A shortlist you didn't expect. An offer that moves your life forward. Landing a role is the visible win, but the invisible ones — you stop dreading Sunday, you have a partner in your corner, you sleep — matter to us just as much.

Yes, in the specific cases the refund policy covers: full refund before work begins, full refund if we fail to start on time or staff your search, and prorated refunds on Sprints once work is underway. See the guarantee page for the readable version.

Celebrate. Then loop in your strategist — on Executive plans and via the interview prep add-on, we help with negotiation and counter-offer strategy. Once you accept, pause or cancel your plan from the dashboard whenever you're ready.

Up to 20/week on Basic, 50/week on Pro, and 100/week on Executive. Sprints are one-time volumes: 250 (Launch), 600 (Accelerate), or 1,200 (Concierge). We hit the ceiling only when there's genuinely fitting inventory — we won't burn quota on garbage roles to hit a number.

08

Trust & safety

8

Legitimacy, quality, and what you can hold us to.

Fair question. Real signals: transparent pricing, a written refund policy you agree to at checkout, daily updates and a live tracker so you can see every application and every outreach, and a support email answered by a real human. If we ever don't do what we said we'd do, the refund policy is the recourse — and you should absolutely hold us to it.

Strategists work small caseloads by design — a Basic member doesn't share time with someone getting 100 applications a week. We review a rolling sample of applications and outreach for quality, and members can flag anything that looks off. If your strategist doesn't feel present, tell us.

Yes. Real applications on the employer's official careers page, never duplicated, never blasted. If a company only accepts applications via a partner ATS or an aggregator, we'll use that.

For each role you're targeting on Pro and Executive plans (and every Sprint), your strategist identifies internal recruiters or hiring-adjacent contacts and sends a warm, personalized note connecting your candidacy to the role. It's not spam and it's not templated — it's the message a good career friend would write for you.

For each targeted company, we look for warm paths in — someone you already know, someone one degree away, an alum from your school, a former colleague. When we find one, we suggest a light introduction script so you can ask for a referral without feeling awkward. Referrals convert dramatically better than cold applications.

Your strategist uses the comp floor you set as an application filter and coaches you on how to answer salary questions in recruiter screens. On Executive plans, interview prep includes negotiation practice; on other plans, it's an add-on we're glad to help with directly.

Yes. Interview Prep is included on Executive and available as a $99 add-on on any other plan or Sprint. Prep includes role-specific question banks, structured answer frameworks, mock interviews with feedback, and a debrief so the next round is sharper than the last.

Yes. We work with visa-sponsored candidates and international searches all the time. Your strategist keeps sponsorship, timing, and geographic constraints in mind so we don't waste applications on roles that won't work. See the visa & international talent page for a fuller picture.

A few more, on Backstage & reach

3

The free layer, where in the world we run, and how we're different from a rewriter.

Backstage is Marqee's free self-serve toolkit — a résumé builder, cover-letter builder, personal-site builder on marqee.com/@username, a candidacy score, a recruiter finder, and a résumé tailor. Most tools are free.

PDF export is free with a free account. DOCX export, unlimited versions, premium templates, and custom domains are part of a paid plan.

Yes. Members search from many countries, and we support job hunts in most English-speaking markets and beyond. Strategists lean on member-provided context (work authorization, language, visa status) to keep applications realistic.

No. A résumé rewriter hands you a document and you're on your own. Marqee's core service is running the whole search — sourcing roles, tailoring per application, outreach, referrals, submissions — week after week. Résumé writing is one small piece we can do as an add-on.

Still have a question?

A real person answers.

Email hello@marqee.com — not a bot, not a ticket queue, not a chat that pings you to book a demo. If you'd rather have a real conversation before signing up, mention it and we'll set one up.
