Partner FAQWhen exactly does my commission trigger?
Commission triggers on a referred member’s first paid week — never during the free 48-hour trial. From there it’s recurring at 25% for six months while they keep their search going. Coach Partners earn a co-brand margin/share instead.
What is a clawback and when does it apply?
If a referred member cancels or refunds inside the 30-day payout window, that commission is clawed back before it’s paid. You’ll see it flagged in Clawbacks with the reason and amount.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts run monthly via Stripe Connect once your cleared balance is at least $25. Earnings over $600 in a year are reported on a 1099-NEC, so keep your W-9 (or W-8BEN) current in Settings.
Can I promise members a job, interview, or income?
No — ever. Marqee is a managed search service, not an outcome guarantee. No income claims, no “guaranteed interviews,” no fabricated results. Always disclose the partnership clearly. The Academy covers the exact language you can and can’t use.
Do recruiters pay to reach members?
Never. Recruiters post roles and request strategist-mediated intros to opted-in, consented members for free — money only ever flows on the member side. The talent is the client, never the product.
Do I need to finish the Academy before sharing links?
You can start referring right away, but certification unlocks the full brand kit and your public directory listing, and it’s what keeps your messaging compliant. Two modules remain — continue training.
How is a referral attributed to me?
Your referral link sets a 30-day cookie. If the member starts a paid subscription within that window, the referral is credited to you and appears in Earnings.
